Valid for tests done in private clinics and hospitals registered with LPPKN (Lembaga Penduduk dan Pembangunan Keluarga Negara).
This is a program with Ministry Of Women, Family and Community Development (MWFC).
The objective of the subsidy is to promote greater awareness among women in the eligible group to undergo mammogram screening for early detection of breast cancer.
Women who qualify for the subsidy are Malaysian citizens and permanent residents, aged 40-69 years, with monthly household income of RM5,000.00 or less and fulfilling one of the criteria below:
- Women at high risk for breast cancer
- Women referred for diagnostic mammogram
- Mammogram screening before starting hormone replacement theraphy
- Repeat mammogram for those already in the subsidy programme
How to apply for the mammogram subsidy
Women who are interested may apply at any LPPKN clinics nationwide. Those eligible will have to undergo breast examination of the clinic prior to referral for mammogram.
