In NST 2007/04/13 Klang Valley Streets: Special van for wheel-bound children
Linggi Community Rehabilitation Centre needs some RM100,000 to buy a modified 16-seater van to transport special children living in the area to the centre to learn living and hygiene skills.
The modification will make it easier for wheelchair-bound children to board.
Port Dickson Women’s Community Club (PDWCC) president Su Sivarajah said without the van, 18 of centre’s 35 special children cannot attend classes. Some of them live in Pengkalan Durian have pinned their hopes on the centre.
“We need to do something for the children so that they can become independent and eke out a living in future,” she said.Continue reading ‘Need modify van for children with learning difficulties’
